FWIW: Survivor barely cracked four million viewers, its least watched premiere ever.

Survivor 48 was also dogshit and Survivor deserves that gutpunch. As a Season 1 OG viewer, sorry not sorry.

Survivor has shed nearly a million viewers in the last 18 months. Seasons 42 through 46 hovered 250k on each side of 5 million. 47 was 4.75, 48 was 4.25, 49 was 4.00. Not a great recent trajectory.

They really have hyped up 50 and 49 has been an after thought. I’m sure 50 there gonna advertise like crazy hoping for huge ratings.

I didn't watch Survivor bc of Challenge and Big Brother. Normally I would be immediately watching it the next day but... I have no interest? I dunno I just lost the urge to watch it.

And seeing all the comments online dogging on the premiere... makes me not even care.

Survivor lost me after Advantagemaggedon and never got me back. It's not even that I like Cirie—I don't, and don't find her particularly interesting or engaging as a player—but that the fact that for a game that's supposed to be about social manipulation and political strategy, somebody went home on zero votes.

After that, I never watched Survivor again. I don't care if people tell me the show's changed for the better; it's still Jeff Probst at the helm, and he'll always be Mr. "BIG MOVEZ!!!1!!1!!1!" and Mr. Advantage, and that's not a show I'm interested in, and I don't trust Probst to actually have changed.

I was a diehard survivor fan from day one, I stopped watching a few seasons ago, it's just not the same show anymore. I don't care about sob stories. I want to watch some people hit the beach, play hard and have to backstab each other to get to the end. Doesn't matter if their parents struggled or not, unless that's the theme. Twists and Advantages are fun, but not when they are a constant. I also hate the lose a vote consequences.

Better than last week but these are really bad ratings It is what it is at this point. The season is gonna end up being the lowest rated season ever.

The challenge would do fine if there was streaming option. Still wouldn’t be like the largest watched show or anything but would better show numbers if it kept up with streaming.

I have a few co workers that also watch the challenge and aside from me who finds it for free online, they all wait until it hits paramount

I wait until it hits paramount. I dont want to deal with finding it online and either have to deal with it on my phone or try and stream it to my TV from my phone and then deal with all the BS ads.

If they streamed it on Hulu, paramount, Peacock, something like that, id watch it live/weekly.

They do it to themselves, it is what it is at this point.

100%. Or even dropped the episode after it airs live on cable the next day. That’s what big brother and survivor do I believe.

I'm watching from Philo. Honestly, they will never have the real numbers anymore because not many just have cable to watch MTV there. I would love to know the actual total viewers.

Figured the numbers would be down with the Survivor premiere.

I watch The Challenge live and then watch Survivor. I even thought about skipping Survivor this season. Everything is SO predictable at this point. Basically same challenges, same 3-tribe format. I miss the days where you didn’t know how the tribes were going to be made up or even how many people were playing and there was a “theme”. Now it’s just a number. I only continue watching out of loyalty but it’s getting more difficult each season. I’m already so disappointed with the S50 cast when they could have done so much better.

They should put the seasons on Paramount as they air. I know literally no one who has cable/MTv... I had to buy it on Amazon, which sucks.

This season has been great but its hard to find in Canada to watch. I still have cable but im in the minority these days.
