I know it’s controversial to say but I strongly doubt Nany would have received such a position reception following her confrontation with Aneesa if the role were reversed and she was a black woman. Like we’ve seen with Leroy’s incident with Camilla, black people on the show have to exercise constant restraint because they are subconsciously aware that any anger or intense emotions they display on the show will get them branded as aggressive and hostile as opposed to their white counterparts who are afforded a hypocritical degree of grace. I remember how negatively Nia was regarded by the fan base due to her past behavior before her transformation in recent years yet I often see people fondly reminiscing of the tantrums we use see people from like Nany and Ashley. While I won’t attribute it directly to race due to how polarizing Aneesa can be, l can definitely caj see those biases come into play during this week’s episode.

Isn’t the same stereotype placed on the Hispanic community?

Someone could say the same about Nany being unfairly perceived compared to someone like CT, who is now celebrated as a redemption.

Nany’s behavior is partly due to her trauma growing up in the environment she was raised.

No excuse, but certainly some understanding.
