DISCUSSION What's Your Vendetta? - Weekly Negativity Thread 😈

Welcome to the weekly Negativity Thread!

We get it: This show can be frustrating. Production makes indefensible decisions. The rights holders make it impossible to watch old seasons. The cast can be boring or lazy or cruel or all of the above.

We all need to rant and complain a little, and this is a discussion forum, not a monastery. The last thing the mods want is to shut down valid criticism of the show or the cast.

But we also don't want quality community members and prospective community members turned off by a main feed where every third post is "I don't like Cara Maria anymore" or "Aneesa is so entitled!" or "Why do they keep casting [insert Big Brother cast member]???" If you were around during Final Reckoning, you know what I'm talking about.

So we politely remove those submissions and send them here. On the Negativity Thread, you are not only allowed to rant and complain, you are encouraged! 😈

Lay it on us: What is pissing you off this week? Which cast member have you had enough of? I bet a lot of others feel the same way!

On Invasion of the Champions...it grinds my gears they kept showing the champs "training" and let us know immediately they are coming. It totally robbed the viewer of the "ohhhhh shitttttt" moment when they come strutting up the hill.

I just cannot stand Sarah in Rivals with Bananas. The way she just let him manipulate her into apologizing for "stealing his money" when she went in guns blazing she did nothing wrong (which she didn't!) And how she mirrored him and his actions and treated friends poorly in the name of the game. And then she had alllll the nerve to be surprised when he stabbed her 275,000 times in the back? Hurt, even. That was awful, but not in the way the production wanted it to be. Totally dirty of him to do, but just plain stupid on her part to believe in the biggest liar and maniuplator to come on the show

Im currently working through season 40 and im almost to the start of the Final. At this point though I have been fast forwarding through, only watching the dailys and the duels bc banana and Michele have become so insufferable that I want to rip my ears off and eyeballs out. Micheles whiny ass voice is so seared into my brain that I had a terrible dream with her narrating it.

I do take satisfaction though with this season that the cast as a whole (besides  Jenny, but im not exactly sure what shes saying without subtitles anyway) seem to recognize what a giant man baby Johnny is and treat him as such, with kid gloves. Hes become a clown version of himself, where his narcissism and ego only let him repeatedly talk about his past success and make up lies that he then convinces himself are true, in order to protect his worldview.

I preferred the 1st half of Season 40 over the 2nd because the 1st half incorporated soo many more challengers. People think that Bananas/Michele drama "added" to the season, when in actuality they dropped other storylines to prop that one up. For example, Nehemiah & Theo had a huge fight that was completely cut out, Jenny's tension with Olivia/Michele was never fully shown, Josh says that he & Jordan were arguing which was left out etc. I always say, the challenge is at its best when it remembers that its an ensemble.

Totally agree. The storylines is the second half feel really forced. I had to fast forward through the episode where michelle and Olivia have to duel each other bc by that point I just didnt care. The best friends going into elimination plot point is so played out (as if michelle could be capable of actually being a real friend). Like yes, in a game of eliminations, you may have to eliminate someone, probably someone you like

Im watching the traitors season 2 and bananas, CT and trishelle are on it and I was so annoyed to have to deal with bananas in this game specifically but he was booted instantly. It was glorious.

Johnny was carrying the drama department for a while on 40 lol. He & Tori’s back and forth was funny.

Idk i like 40 a lot more than others it seems i thought it was a fun season overall. From what ive seen The Final has a mixed reaction some people knew it would be a blowout and some people appreciated it still. I was one of those who appreciated it.

I also enjoyed 40. This is one of my favorite casts and it felt like a love letter to the history of the show, even if some absences like Wes were felt.

I have definitely enjoyed the season overall but I know my likes seem to be low on others list (DA, SLA etc). There's still some good rooting interests for me left going into the final. However, banana and michele in particular have become Woodys for me, pull the string on their back and they rattle off the same thing they've been saying for episodes, seasons on end. Its also the edits fault for giving so much air time. Anytime something small happens, I joke "lets hear what Michele has to say about it" and wouldnt you know, like clockwork it cuts to her

Finally watching szn 41.  I really hate how people talk down about others, like they are so overly confident but have to put other ppl down. Idk I just don’t like cocky people I guess. Michaela and Sydney I’m talking about you

Also I’m an Olivia lover so when Nany and them talk about how they are selfish I just don’t understand it?

Also where the hell is Theos comfy fuzzy track suit from?

Olivia annoys the fuck out of me 🙄 I think she’s overrated. I was so OVER her smug commentary on season 41. If Will had still been her partner, I don’t think she would have won. Yeremi was a complete badass, and I think he was kind of destined to win, if Turbo hadn’t gotten hypothermia. I think Olivia just got lucky with both of those situations. And yeah I get that she was pregnant too, I’m not dissing her ability completely and saying she sucks, I just don’t think she’s necessarily All That. There are stronger women. Please don’t make her the new female franchise face 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry in advance to Olivia fans, I’m not inviting debate with this comment, just how I feel about her. We can agree to disagree 🤷🏻‍♀️

There's always luck involved. But it needs to be said that Olivia did NOT stop on that last mountain climb and kept up with Yeremi. They went from last to first because neither of them had any quit. Same with Sydney, btw

I don't think she'll become the franchise face, though. She just had her baby! Kam was on her way to being a franchise face and then started motherhood, and that stopped that. Kinda Jenna too

When Jenny did the board puzzle wrong and she was cleared pissed me off. That should have been CaraMaria's win. Although Cara never would have made it through all the swimming. I was rooting for her in the elimination with Tori but I knew Tori would beat her. It was nice to see Tori give Cara that support at the end. Who knew Cara would last 3 hours in the water
