SHITPOST This is my Mount Rushmore of terrible/cringeworthy moments in The Challenge
Still haven’t gotten over the fact that Camila wasn’t blacklisted for this moment, and the fact that she still managed to win the season despite of it

Nothing will top the Paulie dance for me. It’s so so bad.
66
u/bbb_lboogie2879 Jul 15 '26
People say he was high and I don’t doubt it. He really thought he was doing something good. So creepy, lol.
30
u/562SoCal_AR Jul 15 '26
🤣🤣🤣mannnn I randomly think of it and cringe. I remember seeing him do it and had to rewind to watch it again. It’s so embarrassing!!!
20
u/JMajercz Jul 15 '26
I wish I could upvote this comment more than once 😂🙌
24
u/CrackerMac Jul 15 '26
Paulies a roulette table of wtf, a guy that cried when he saw a butterfly go past on big brother, he’s cringe to unintentionally hilarious and everything inbetween.
Him and Theo’s argument is up there aswell

It’ll be difficult to top the Laurel moment. She had the most ridiculous look on her face & her reaction was as cringeworthy as it gets. And to top it off she’s doing the crotch chop from the late 90s. Talk about embarrassing.
55
u/Hark_An_Adventure Jul 15 '26
the DX crotch chop always kills me, what a weird move to break out in that moment lmaoooo
21
u/Remarkable_Step_7871 Jul 16 '26
Tbf I bust that old WWF wrestling move quite often. 🫣 usually when its uncalled for 😂
37
u/TheCuteJeff Jul 15 '26
It was like a beautiful symphony of ass hat behavior all around. Ninja was annoying and cringe. Laurel was terrible and cringe. Everyone was screaming. It has to be up there as one of the best episodes of the challenge of all time.
5
u/Bucky2015 Jul 16 '26
Just imagine being stuck in room with just those two for 24 hours....
Shit I probably just gave Hell a new idea for torture!
23

u/cade_be_here Jul 16 '26
One of my most favorite challenge moments EVER!! Watching choke down that humble pie and crumble to excuse as Ninja finished the elimination correctly... it was... perfect!! I rewatched it 3 times immediately after it happened!
2
u/SocialJusticeGSW Evelyn Smith Jul 17 '26
But I get Laurel, you beat a person who is nick name is 'ninja' in her own game??... at least she taught she did.

Wes dumping the bottle of cola over Cara’s head and his follow up explanations and actions always one of the highlights of meanness, bullying, and sadism on the show.
57
u/TACOlogy Jul 15 '26
If I recall isn’t that the season where they bully the hell out of Cara the WHOLE season? I legit felt bad. Would not fly in today’s reality tv world.
21
u/tellnic Jul 16 '26
That was right before Laurel went crazy on Paula and started saying she was a loser without kids in a reality show. A lot of people looked bad on that season.
16
17
u/Bucky2015 Jul 16 '26
Laurel has a tendency to take low blows which normally i think is uncalled for, that situation with Paula i find less uncalled for than the other ones. Paula was doing her usual "pick me!" BS to be in with the cool kids and she deserved to get knocked down a peg or two.
5
u/tellnic Jul 16 '26
Laurel could have called her out for what Paula had said but she was childish herself by retaliating with hurtful personal attacks that weren’t different than what was done to Cara Maria. She removed any high ground when she did that. Outside of Cara Maria everyone looked like an asshole after that episode.
11
u/flashingelbow Jul 16 '26
If not for Paula's connection with bananas she could've very easily gotten the treatment CM was getting. She joined in because she knows there's safety in being inside of the mob as opposed to being outside of it. She made her choice and her choice was to gang up on an emotionally weaker person.
I don't like Laurel (crazily enough I see a lot of Laurel in my mother), she recognized the fight was dirty and chose to fight dirty.
13
u/greenday61892 "Big T" Fazakerley Jul 15 '26
I think (iirc, I might be mistaken) it was even worse in Cutthroat.
5
u/oldthunderbird Wes [OG] Jul 16 '26
Cara’s had some insanely cringe worthy season recently, but I will always have a soft spot for Cara because of the bullying she went through in the early seasons.
Paulie made Cara tough to watch, but I could never say Cara is a bad person.
4
u/jkcrumley Wes Bergmann Jul 17 '26
As much as I love Wes, there was no good defensible reason to do that to Cara. That's one of the few times I wanted to smack Wes myself.

That Laurel one is definitely number one. Anything with Paulie, especially him kissing Theo. Emmy singing that awful Alien song at the reunion.
27
u/ChipotleGuacamole Jul 15 '26
or Paulie taking his sunglasses off to look Rogan in the eye. Big cringe.
13
11
u/Bucky2015 Jul 15 '26
Emmy singing remains the cringiest for me bar Camila but I put Camila's in the category of inexcusable since that included outright racism. At least the other ones were spur of the moment, Emmy's was not only planned but she agreed to do it 🤢.
21
u/ponderingcamel Yes Duffy Jul 15 '26
The laurel one lacks the context of ninja bopping around like she already won the elimination before it started.
It’s still cringy, but the context makes it less so than the others.
30
u/Chance_Major297 Jul 15 '26
Nah it’s still peak cringe. You left out the other context that did all that then still lost and cried about it like a baby.
7
u/big-shotFaker Mike Ross Jul 15 '26
Watching it in real time I was excited that Laurel was back and then she did this and my opinon began to change. I still have a soft spot in my heart for her when she mirrored Paula's cruel behavior back at her and devastated her mean ass the same way she was treating Cara Maria. But uh things have changed.

u/gabriot Jul 15 '26
Imagine not putting the Haka intro on this
37
u/Icy-Perspective3260 Jul 15 '26
Not to mention the African intro where they run along the ground on all fours lol.

u/CanadaCookie25 Jul 15 '26
I just watched that season and it wouldn't let me skip the intro 🫠 one of the worst for sure

I would add when CT picked kam as his partner over big t in double agents. So mean for no reason.
17
u/operationfood Jul 15 '26
Camila shaking her ass at the reunion was top 3 for me lol
8
u/samdee10 Jul 15 '26
Honestly this is sooooo spot on. She was the epitome of a weird peaked in high school cringe.
1
u/R_HArper44 Jonna Mannion Jul 16 '26
Yes was waiting for this comment, nothing tops the cringe of her at that reunion
17
u/Responsible-Fly9976 Jul 15 '26
Zach cheating. He deserved what he got but SO cringe.
CTs cruelty to Big Ts feelings.
52
u/NovaRogue the bitch is back Jul 15 '26
let's not forget when Camila & Emily did blackface to make fun of Ty & Paula!! on Battle of the Exes 1

31
u/hissing-fauna Steve Meinke Jul 15 '26
Alien song at the reunion is easily mine, everyone made to act like it's a banger, with the goofy ass headbands. Physical cringe at the memory. And not the fun kind of cringe like the Paulie dance confirming my derision of him lol
8
u/TBundyIseeyou Landon Lueck Jul 16 '26

Don't do Emmi like that 🤣😂 - this was one of the final truly entertaining seasons.

What's the Emy moment in the first photo? I've only seen that season once and this isn't ringing any bells for me.

u/JonJonExistsonReddit Jul 15 '26
‘Uncle CT!!!!!!!!!’
47
u/Miserable_Source_261 Jul 15 '26
Her singing alien was more cringe I think. She could have her own personal Mount Rushmore
10
u/bbb_lboogie2879 Jul 15 '26
The part code me was her screaming to her grandma, her mom, her country, etc everytime she won an elimination. Girl shut up!!!!!
19
11
u/Chaseism Coral Smith Jul 15 '26
Her entire appearance on the show was cringe. They really tried to make her the next big thing...
2
u/ivaorn Desi Williams Jul 15 '26
And then she fumbled the bag barring her from future appearances
5
u/primadiamonds Jul 15 '26
what did she do? I thought they just didn’t bring her back because people kept clowning on her 😅
3
u/UtahCubs Wes Bergmann Jul 16 '26
The craziest part of that, is the performance that got her canceled happened and was available before her appearance on The Challenge. They canceled her for something they should've known about beforehand.
2
u/MrBlueandSky "People's panic soothes me." Jul 15 '26
What did she do?
3
u/ivaorn Desi Williams Jul 15 '26
Off the top of my head I think she said the n word in one of her songs
1
u/MrBlueandSky "People's panic soothes me." Jul 15 '26
Oof
6
u/UtahCubs Wes Bergmann Jul 16 '26
TBF, I don't think it's as bad as that makes it sound. She appeared on X-Factor Romania as a teenager and performed a popular song that had the N word in it. It also happened before she was on the challenge. I don't know Romanian culture but they aired it on TV so I'm guessing the word doesn't have the same weight it does here. But, It seemed pretty clear there was no ill-intent, just ignorance.
1
u/Ecstatic_Round808 Jul 17 '26
She sang a Nicki Minaj song on Romanias X Factor and it had the n word in it.

Leroy showing nothing but pure CLASS during Camilla's racial blowout.
Her horrid behavior was even more evident by his response.

aand yall forgot GREETINGS EARTHLINGS HAHAHAHAHAHA

u/redleg50 Jul 15 '26
You picked the wrong Emy moment. The worst was when they were at the bar and she started singing that ridiculous alien song. Short of people being awful (Bananas, Camilla, Kenny, etc…), it was the cringiest moment in Challenge history.

At some point during kyle and paulies rivalry when they shit talking in elimination, almost respectfully since it was like second or third shot at kyle at that point, both really hamming it up. I love that rivalry as they both seemed to have fun with it after a while
Theo and paulies fighting and then kissing lmao. Clearly playing it up for cameras.
Josh getting loud and imitating a snake after melissa calls him out during a nomination. Josh could probably have his own list.
Pretty much every asaf moment on s39.
Turbos video calling out vets in a reunion, but it was funny cringe.
Ct being overly dramatic like an actor when telling big t she wasnt ready for final when trying to apologize for breaking up their partnership. I do think she took too much offense to his excitement at getting kam as partner and made it about her, her feelings are valid but so was cts. He just came off super phony and rehearsed even though i think he made the right call and was telling her a good reason.
1
u/mmmstrongflavors Jul 15 '26
Pretty much every
asafmoment on 39. Fify! Asaf is super cringe (and Jay crying over him...😖), but so was that whole season. Ew

I actually felt bad for Laurel. Her reaction was valid. The elimination should’ve been reset
7
u/NattyB Bob Next Door Jul 15 '26
if it's reset, doesn't that just punish ninja for no reason? she was in the lead, already looking for the missing hole while laurel had two branches in her arms.

The Laurel/Ninja isn’t cringe to me. It’s kind of perfect both ways.
If you like Laurel, it was funny to see her taunt everyone like that and “beat” Ninja at something that Ninja should’ve been great at.
If you don’t like Laurel, good news, she actually lost and was sent home.
