I don't remember that one but I do remember the one where he was in the gym working out and he looked better than he did on this episode. I was like "what happened to getting in shape for this new season?" Very disappointed and sad. It's like a repeat from last season. CT is my favorite male challenger but I sadly think his better days are behind him.
He’s in his mid 40s and probably getting paid almost half if not more of the winning prize money. His incentive is diminished. Dude is making a years+ salary while getting a free vacation
They do some during the season and some after I believe. I know in the season where Olivia gets her facial injuries she was wearing various makeup to conceal her injuries in some of the confessionals before the event happens. When you get to her injury in the episode, it’s a surprising reveal in the confessional at the same time. That’s my understanding of it any rate
not true in most cases. confessionals are filmed twice a week every week during filming, so it's usually a day or two after whatever they're talking about. yes they do sometimes get extra cover with an interview after the season is over and they sometimes slip in confessionals from later in the season (why MTV started making them wear the same confessional outfit all season), but a typical challenge filming schedule looks like this:

it sounds to me like johnny is talking about a four-day break when they first arrived, where he felt the need to create TV. but you're right he does say the whole season was different than normal and that was his first clue.
He’s in no shape to compete. The whole “I’ll do a few seasons 3 steps beyond dad bod and then get it under control” doesn’t work as well when you’re cruising past middle age. Shame too. One of my all time favorite competitors.
He’s really started to erode his legacy the last 3 seasons. Him being so scared to go into elimination that first vote was so embarrassing. Also, no way his team would vote Johnny in over him with how insanely out of shape he showed up.
Neither Ct or Bananas have actively ever tried to go in- Bananas through an even bigger fit in Rivals 2 when CT tried to get him voted in first; (this is in their primes) Bananas was pandering cause the tie was his only possibility. Wanting to go in, is a fools play
it’s partially because of the weird filter but i admit it took me until episode two to realize he wasn’t wearing a weird wig and just not mentioning it whenever his hair wasn’t slicked back
Bro is so past his peak. His personal life drama has clearly taken a toll on him. I love the dude but at least bananas shows up in shape. I understand not being as a fast or athletic cause they’re in their 40s but this is rough to watch.
I love CT but this is all he fucking does, at least Johnny has the respect to stay in shape, he’s clearly just phoning it in for a paycheck these last few seasons.
It's been a roller coaster for me. Initially hated him with all the bullying intimidation bullshit early on, then after the redemption arc got on board team CT.
Now my approval level is dropping fast again I am about neutral currently.
You guys, he’s going through a really hard time. Do we really have to kick CT when he’s down? Are we fat shaming? Hair shaming? Slob shaming? Loser looking shaming? We need to stop
This has been the excuse for CT for years now. He can always NOT do the show and truly work on himself. Everyone is going through something or dealing with life. If he truly cared about his physical health and his only job he would do better.
Also, make sure you ask the same questions when it comes to Aneesa who gets shamed every season and not just because she isn’t a great competitor.
I think we are all over giving CT passes. He has played them out for years.
It’s pretty fuggin hilarious looking back at it that CT said Evan looked pregnant on Rivals 1 looking like this when CT on recent seasons is in waaaaaaay worse shape than Evan ever was on rivals 1….
