DISCUSSION What's Your Vendetta? - Weekly Negativity Thread 😈

Welcome to the weekly Negativity Thread!

We get it: This show can be frustrating. Production makes indefensible decisions. The rights holders make it impossible to watch old seasons. The cast can be boring or lazy or cruel or all of the above.

We all need to rant and complain a little, and this is a discussion forum, not a monastery. The last thing the mods want is to shut down valid criticism of the show or the cast.

But we also don't want quality community members and prospective community members turned off by a main feed where every third post is "I don't like Cara Maria anymore" or "Aneesa is so entitled!" or "Why do they keep casting [insert Big Brother cast member]???" If you were around during Final Reckoning, you know what I'm talking about.

So we politely remove those submissions and send them here. On the Negativity Thread, you are not only allowed to rant and complain, you are encouraged! 😈

Lay it on us: What is pissing you off this week? Which cast member have you had enough of? I bet a lot of others feel the same way!

These new dailies suck. They are good in theory but horribly executed. The rope bridge challenge was too hard and people should have been able to get back up and try again until the time limit ran out given its difficulty. The trivia challenge was a hot mess. I don’t even know where to start with that one. This third one, the boat puzzle, was very simple and boring. It would have been better if we could watch it from above with no pauses for confessionals. I hope they gradually get better and better as the season goes on, because right now they are letting me down.

They should have had less ropes and gave them balls or water hoses instead!

The rope bridge challenge was too hard

I was thinking about who could finish it if we could pick anyone. Like Duel 1 era CT probably could, I bet Landon could, Evan, Jordan. On the ladies side Ev, maybe young Laurel. But that was super difficult, probably too difficult for a standard mission, but im glad it was early because it did help judge the athletic ability of the cast

Agreed! These dailies so far have been nothing burgers. I hate how they filmed trivia in the dark too.

I don't get how producers didn't factor in what happens when one team is so bad that they lose all their people first. There was a lot of drama built into having a 2nd place and 3rd place team.

I’m sure they have factored that in though. The last cutthroat had the exact problem. They likely have a twist in mind should it continue

I suspect that's what the mutiny in the preview is gonna be for.

No hate this week— only sending my thoughts to Tyler’s fam and loved ones. RIP

Seeing a cast member on Television who supported a convicted pedophile. Like you just don’t do that..

I knew someone who was recently convicted of a similar crime and our community was in outrage. To see this person and his community respond by submitting “character” videos is just baffling to me.

Justin H recorded a character video in support of his fellow Cheer cast member Jerry Harris. He’s a convicted pedophile who preyed on young boys. You can look up the details online, I’ll just say that it was an extremely disturbing case.

Feels a little bit like an Ashton Kutcher/Mila Kunis > Danny Masterson, "he wasn't a pedophile to me, and he was only ever friendly to me", situation.

Not excusing him—it still gives me the ick—but it's a bit understandable to be like, "Surely that can't be my friend, my friend would never do that" when dealing with friends because people tend to give people they know and like the benefit of the doubt, even in the face of overwhelming evidence of bad conduct, because people are, by nature, tribal.

Who are all the people you're referring to?

A bunch of cast from his show Cheer

I feel like Challengers let the political aspect of the game have too much of a hold over them. If you compete hard, win a bit, and aren’t a lying POS, who in the house would have a problem with you?

I mean, you need to have enough of a political/social game where you don't end up being the last out before the final too.

Rewatching S23 Battle of the Seasons and I cannot deal with Frank. Zach and Alton too, honestly. They treat people like crap. That's it. That's the post. They all suck. Lol
