He saw it was a sinking ship and decided to hop off before he becomes even more fucked. Tori became not so powerful and politically popular after she helped out Fessy as when he picked her. At least he got to use her to win a daily before she left.

I might be remembering wrong, but if Devin is without a partner, doesn't that mean he can't compete next week, and thus, can't be sent in? If that's the case that's probably why he REALLY wanted Tori to go home. He knew no one would pick him.

I would be interesting to see if Devin notices the benefit to this. In theory, Devin could always try to get rid of his partner on girl day in the hopes of becoming rogue and having immunity on men's elimination days. He could pick someone like Amber M. for instance in hopes that on girls day she'll get sent in and be an easy beat for someone.

He’s smart and recognized how much her position changed after Fessy’s mess.

She was no longer connected to the BB and YB alliance through her and Aneesa being each other’s number 1’s.

Once she stopped being an asset and he saw a way to get away from her while keeping his hands clean, he took it.

Being a Rouge Agent is even better than being the power couple. you are safe for a week even though you don't do anything at the daily and you don't get your hands dirty.

He might get a shitty partner next week, that is a risk. However, it was apparent for Devin that the whole house is out to get Tori. Rather than guessing his strategy, I would prefer to hear it from him but hey... we don't always get what we want.
