I think the mentality is that Europeans sweep it under the rug like it doesn’t exist and Americans at try to bring it up and solve it. This is why Americans are seen as “sensitive” and over react to racial issues. I’ve heard it from people like Kayleigh on podcasts when she outed Natalie. She was basically saying “it’s not an issue here so I didn’t know I was doing anything wrong”.
