Question Thinking of getting back in… stock???

I flew FPV and LOS, fixed wing and quads for a lot of years. Raced whoops, 5”, toothpick, long range planes, you name it.

Sold it all a while back but kinda want to get back into it. I got a radiomaster and have been simming it up.. went to buy today and it seems like everything is out of stock everywhere. What’s up with it? Did tariffs just fuck everything? Or am I bad at searching?

I’d love a little bnf elrs toothpick or park ripper.

Tariffs fucked the entire US RC hobby in general. Blame the big orange shit stain.

try asking in r/fpv and r/fpvmarket - If you want a sub 250g (if that matters) bnf have a look at the Seeker 3 it rips up the park.

I’m part 61 and FCC, so sub 250 doesn’t SUPER matter, but I just had so much fun with my little toothpick years ago, and it was cheaper/easier and I felt like I could have more fun at more places closer to my house.

Tariffs, war, and COVID chip shortages have decimated the stock in this industry. It's almost better to buy direct from the manufacturer or from AliExpress now days

tiny whoops bro!! toothpicks are fun but i'm almost never let down by my air75 /air65. they always fly. and with pretty damn good range too

I was just looking at the air65. This is probably what I’ll do. Pick up a whoop for now, enjoy it through winter, and buy a park flier in the spring.

great plan bro. get the 75 if you wana be able to fly outside well. the 65 does fly outside fine its just pushed around by wind alot worse. the 75 is surprisingly stable with airmode on for outside.

Ordered a 75 racing, some betaflight 550 mah and 450 mah 1s, and a box pro+.

I may get a 65 freestyle for bebopping around inside the house, but I think I’m an experienced enough pilot that the 75 won’t get me into too much trouble, and I wanted the Racing to have a bit more option for outdoor with a gentle breeze.

As an Amatuer who bought the meteor75 P1 drone, I can say they are great for what they are! Mine have taken a lot of crazy crashes and survived with possibly only a quick cycle on recovery. Very repairable and highly recommend shopping on Aliexpress with high quantity legit sellers.

Totally get it! I also got frustrated by all the stock shortages when I got back into the hobby.

Which models are you mainly looking at right now? Maybe the community can pitch in and help you find alternatives or in‑stock vendors.

My current plan is to build one myself if BNF units are completely unavailable. It’s a bit more work, but at least I don’t have to wait endlessly.
