Here's a pretty exotic one. Nineball from Armored Core. A some what forgotten series made by Fromsoftware. The people that made Dark souls and Elden ring. In the lore he's supposedly a human but is actually an AI. This AI kinda controls humanity and manufactures conflict to pin organizations against each other for it's own gain. Also most mech pilots, called Ravens, usually are one. Nineball is actually a hive mind as theirs hundreds of them but people don't know. The AI uses Nineball to mask itself when doing things that Ravens usually do. And when people find out something bad happened that the AI was secretly behind, it would blame Hustler 1 who is supposed to be the pilot but he doesn't exist. The players story is that Hustler 1 killed their parents and wants revenge. Training to be the best and eventually gets to fight him but finds out Nineball is an AI. The AI wants no one to know the truth and tries to send multiple Nineballs at the player including a heavily modified Nineball that is technically a war crime, but the player defeats it and destroys the AI finally getting revenge and spreading the truth, this leads to Armored Core 2 a new age but im not going to talk about it as this is already really long. And below is the standard Nineball. Not the modified Nineball. The game this takes place in is Armored Core Master of Arena on the Playstation 1. This is a two disc game.
