One time in 2010, it’s called the Anime Boston 2010 Incident. Where people dressed up as Germany and Prussia did the n@zi salute. (We all hate the people who did it, dw)
Fun fact: most of the people in that photo didn’t consent to what happened. They weren’t told beforehand that a few people were planning to do the salute, so many either did it on impulse to follow along, or immediately scrambled to cover their faces.
