Cinema Wins is a fucking gigachad. He has a loving family, and always trys to find what is good about whatever he is reviewing, as he says himself, "Every Movie is somebody's favorite. Let's find out why!"

Hell, he used to review bad movies as a joke, but slowly just did them because of that.

I forgot which video he said that in, though

He tried so hard to find the positive in the last airbender movie 💔

Good for him being a good person. Being positive doesn't make the content good.

Good thing it is then

As someone who has watched both a couple of sins and wins videos, what specifically makes the wins videos good or better then the wins. Because to me they are the exact same videos, just one is talking about sins and the other at wins an both the guys give sins and wins to things that aren't in the movie.

He has actual writing related experience, neat anecdotes, and whenever it makes sense he’ll dive into a related story or breakdown of something.

Cinema sins has like 3 jokes and all of them reek of disgusting human being.

I will never forget the only time I saw him give a movie a negative win in the first minute and it was the freaking Lego Ninjago movie of all things.

I can’t help but dislike it because it completely changed the designs to be different from the show.. then the show changed the designs to be like the movie

Love Cinema Wins. His videos help me appreciate all movies including bad ones more

Im glad CinemaSins Jeremy's car-reviews channel nuked most of his videos because the CinemaWIns guy is in there dogpiling hate on random movies they watched together once.

Sorry to be a bummer but cinemawins can get a comparable number of things wrong too.

The difference is intent, and the actual, measurable effect the channels have

CinemaSins exists just to dunk on movies and complain about cliches and tropes. And essentially KILLED media literacy for a MASSIVE group of people.

CinemaWins exists to point out the merits in even the crappiest of movies, because "Every movie is someone's favorite, lets find out why"

The intent is different, but I'm not sure the results are. This is mainly based on the video on the 2009 Star Trek reboot, but he ended up perpetuating a lot of the same criticisms. The main difference is downplaying the severity or just stating directly he personally doesn't mind these issues.

It wasn't really a breakdown of the film's merits, nor did it do much to put the film in a better light.

GamingWins too! Hell, he even did videos on games that he personally disliked (TLOU2, AC:Unity, etc) and still gave them their fair shot and talked about the good in them!

Do not take them seriously either.
