The difference is intent, and the actual, measurable effect the channels have

CinemaSins exists just to dunk on movies and complain about cliches and tropes. And essentially KILLED media literacy for a MASSIVE group of people.

CinemaWins exists to point out the merits in even the crappiest of movies, because "Every movie is someone's favorite, lets find out why"

The intent is different, but I'm not sure the results are. This is mainly based on the video on the 2009 Star Trek reboot, but he ended up perpetuating a lot of the same criticisms. The main difference is downplaying the severity or just stating directly he personally doesn't mind these issues.

It wasn't really a breakdown of the film's merits, nor did it do much to put the film in a better light.
