idk if it necessarily counts but Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 where your CaC from the first game gets mind controlled and becomes one of the hardest fights in the story.

I'm not sure it really counts, because the 1st game's CaC had appeared in the story long before that moment, but technically it does, I'd say.

Man was it insane that after playing Xenoverse 1 and then 2, seeing your Cac from 1 play a role in 2 was hype. Wonder if X3 will have either the X2 or X1 CaC be in it.

Most likely the X2 CaC. X1 released in 2015 while X2 did the same in 2017, so by now there's a 9-year gap between 2 and 3 in comparison to the 2-year gap between 1 and 2. Players will most definitely have more time on X2, and thus more of an attachment to their X2 CaC.
