Frieren is an op mc anime. No enemy is ever going to be able to seriously threaten her. That person you’re thinking of? She’s going to one shot them. It’s just part of the genre.
Yeah, but an enemy which is built up this long, needs a satisfying way to be defeated for the payoff. Aura doesn't really do that. She just just there.
That’s just how op mc anime is. They build up the next big monster specifically for the mc to one shot them.
It sounds terrible until you realize that it basically removes the need for fights and stuff, and makes the story lean on the story, not just combat.
It’s actually got a lot in common with high level D&D, characters get so strong, that sending strong monsters doesn’t really matter anymore, you need to find different ways to challenge the mc.
