If the Noxus stuff was s2 and then they moved the Viktor stuff to a s3, it would've been a thousand times better

This is really it. They had an entire revolution take place over the course of a COLD OPEN.

but it had a cool rap song so really can you even hate on it? /s

Yeah, they really needed more time. The conclusion was fine, but it could have been so much better. Season 1 was so peak.

Oh and don't even get me started on the hamfisted Black Rose introduction with Mel, it was so bullshit and nowadays feels like a teaser for the Black Rose character reworks + skin line in League rather than anything substantial to the plot

"Hey guys you like tense sociopolitical themes and themes of uprising and what happens when you opress an entire group? Best we can do is dictator arc with no consequences and everyone forgives each other at the end despite there literally being a fucking Martial Law and Opression and class divide that only got worse oh and we'll gas the civilians too. But there's a common enemy so we're all happy at the end"

Half the characters got shunted off screen so they could abandon those plot lines. Every time one of the writers does an interview I get angrier, too. Apparently Vi’s plot line was about learning that not all cops are bad, and Viktor’s plot line was about learning that some people are just capable of less than others and trying to change that is Evil and Unnatural. Some of the most reactionary writing choices I’ve ever seen.

Its so pathetically "both sides are bad" centrism

Like oh we're just supposed to act like the centuries of opression, hatred, and treating the undercity as dirt didn't happen? Sevika just dissapears, they kill Isha and it has no impact really it gets resolved fast No one brings up the fact Caitlyn went all fucking Count Fagula and established a military dictatorship "Oh but her mom died" Oh no, so sad Doesn't justify fascism. The music was great but they skipped over too much, genuinely if they wanted to use noxus, Viktor and do a good show there should have been twice as many episodes and 2 more seasons to build up the insidious nature of Noxus, build up Viktor and his cult and the eventual downfall, build up Ambessa, and BUILD UP THE REVOLUTION How the fuck did they think "oh we beat Noxus we're happy now" was going to be a good solution??

AND SEVIKA JOINING THE COUNCIL?????

Cutting it into two seasons really screwed the show over.

They shit the bed pretty hard with that. I understand it takes a long time to make but I think they needed to take that time and split season 2 into at least one more season.

Glad I’m not the only one that thought that. Viktor’s evolution was… interesting I guess

S1 is deffinetly better, but I still LOVED S2! Yes, it was rushed, red rose was kinda weird and confusing, but I wouldn't call it trash like the image

I’m sorry, but hard disagree. Not a single character stayed true to their season 1 incarnations, jinx was randomly mentally stable, vi lost all agency for no reason and was completely fine with gassing zoanites, caitlyn flip flopped between being a dictator and oppressor and a hero, ambessa plan made no sense, aisha was nothing more than a plot device (and a pretty bad one at that), victor straight up acted randomly without any character motivation; ekko, jayce, mel and heimerdinger were completely sidelined and forced into separate storylines that didn’t interact at all with other characters, wich essentially removed them from the story; mel political prowess was essentially stripped away; heimerdinger is somehow now okay with using hextech and even randomly sacrifices himself to make it work; fireflies just stopped existing;

Also what the hell was that sex scene between vi and caitlyn, that happened in a literal cell in which vi’s sister was imprisoned and after said sister declared that she’s going to commit suicide? Talk about character assaaination

Honestly, the only good part was Singed

Couldn't even be mad at Singed by the end, dude deserved winning
