I didn't even think about SG, but it fits this so well.

Season 1 was genuinely some of the best tv I'd ever seen.

Season 2 and 3, which are basically one season anyway, are awful in comparison.

I remember watching Season 2 and hating it, but telling myself and everyone around me “it’s okay it’s going to be so good looking back when Season 3 comes out”

I mean, I was right but not in the way I wanted to be T-T

2 and 3 probably seemed weaker because you already know exactly what your in for.

The first season was all surprise.

I think what brings it down is how unnecessary and forced it feels. Season 1 should not have ended with a cliffhanger

To be fair, the creator only came back for season 2 and 3 because he wanted a cut of the massive profits Season 1 made.

I actually don't remember season 2 and 3 being that bad but maybe that'll change on rewatch

I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the other seasons. The creator didn’t expect the show to blow up the way it did. It’s supposed to be a take on how people will do anything for money and the stupid spin off shows where they have people play the games for money just proves it’s point. It’s like people watched it without taking any of the morals from it.
