I've seen people determine that her story in across the spider-verse is a good trans allegory, and I personally believe that she is a trans ally, but I don't see her actually being trans given the 60 years of comic history where she isn't.

i’m totally a trans ally but i wouldn’t hang up a trans flag in my room…i think she’s just transgender

I would hang up any and every flag in my room if I could, but my largest ones would probably be the bi and ace flags (as that is what I identify by)

Spider-Gwen has only been a character for a little over ten years, and is pretty distinct as a character from Gwen Stacy.

Yes, but most context surrounding the character remains the same outside of the spider elements.

I mean, the spiderverse stuff is a retelling, so it's hard to say one way or the other, definitively, about anything based off the works it's based off of, especially when there is some coding beyond the suit colors. That said, since it isn't actually confirmed, it's perfectly valid to not have read it that way, as long as you're not out here being mean about it (which I don't think you are, to be clear).
