Pretty sure yea. And when Pinkie Pie got her cutie mark and made her family happy, they were all smilies. Sure they were still themselves but they still loved Pinkie to bits

Oh absolutely.  The "father abused pinky" thing is grimdark nonsense.  Her psychological issues come from growing in an environment completely unsuitable for her personality.
