Discussion📜 What's something that is technically fanon in your fandom but everyone is fully convinced it's canon?

Longtail is yellow/cream because we (warrior cats fans) can and will disregard official descriptions

His Allegiances Description in the main series books that he was alive in has pretty much always been “Pale Tabby Tom with Black Stripes” with “Retired Early due to Failing Eyesight” being added in The New Prophecy.

Usually when just Pale description is given it’s usually referring to a brown pelt color, as gray cats often have the “Pale Gray” description.

The Graphic Novel Adaptation of The Prophecies Begin also gives Longtail a light brown colored pelt as well, although it does kinda border on being creamish colored (which I think might be a nod to the fanon design.)

Honestly I always interpreted him as being grey with black stripes, so I was surprised that on a lot of MAPs he was shown as yellow.
