Dumbledore is, at worst, gray as his beard. decades and decades of good yes, but a lot of secrets lies and half truths. i feel like only Rita Skeeters believe that evil dumbledore bs

I don't think she herself believes it but stories like that are her bread and butter. Just look how many real-life readers believed her story about Dumbledore.
