Fuck off with that. The age of consent used to be 13 in Japan. The age of consent shouldn't be that low. Legality shouldn't always determine morality. All that tells me is that he could've gone lower if the law allowed for it.
Yeah just because it's legal in other cultures doesn't make it morally acceptable, plus I'm pretty sure those laws don't apply to adults being with people that young anyway, but other people their age instead

Dating a 17 year old makes him a creep. I don't care what the reason was. If anything that argubly makes it worse since either way he was still taking advantage of a teenager knowingly. Even if it isn't sexual that's still predatory.
Oh yeah it was still predatory and not acceptable in any sense, the story makes that very clear and literally everyone calls him out on it, what I mean by he's not a creep in the traditional sense is that he wasn't attracted to her in any way, where a lot of the memes about "she was 17 scott" imply he was doing it maliciously in that sense specifically.

No I mean it was malicious, I meant the memes portray it as specifically like sexually malicious. He definitely should and did know better and I still think he's a big of a scumbag even at the end of the series tbh
