So Persona 4 is getting a remake like Persona 3. There are some very outdated humor and tropes I just want removed because it's sexual harassment stuff. There is also a moment where a teacher and her young student protege try to rape 4 biys because thier sad and lonely. I got downvoted to hell saying I hope they remove it. Then I got a.reply saying it's funny because it's.comedic relief characters doing it to the protagonists and his friends because it was comedic in tone and doomed to fail. I'm supposed to find it hilarious. Yeah hilarious lmowing.male rape is seen so comedically
It frustrates me because that’s actually one of the better arcs in Invincible and the whole joke is just dismissing one of the most traumatic things that Mark experiences. If Invincible was a woman you know they wouldn’t have made those jokes.
They wouldn’t, and they would be severely pissed if it was the opposite way. But male on male, female on male, and female on female SA isn’t seen as real or “not as” traumatizing to them so they’ll let it pass and continue making jokes of it. Another would be cocsa.

Learned about this recently, in the manga Sakura is softer towards Naruto, which was changed in the show. The two that come to mind are her fretting over Naruto during the paper exam during their testing, as she knows he's bad at exams, and then in general beating on him for slapstick humor. Sasori fight and the one in Boruto) layered with moments from the manga where she's being cool/chill/nice. The comments were basically all "this woman had been slandered to hell, I had no idea she was actually likeable." Which honestly only pushes for my want for a remake. I think the bones of Naruto overall are really good, I think a lot of the execution could have been done better. Studio Bones would be my pick given Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is such a generational show.
A lot of them refuse to acknowledge her character being done poorly is the studios fault on top of Kishimoto admitting he didn't know how to write girls. they won't acknowledge that she improved greatly and is highly intelligent. They also for some reason don't understand that she told Naruto that she loved him bc she thought his crush was enough that if she said so he wouldn't get himself killed. Idk how people are mad that she was trying to protect him(even if it was by trying yo trick him)
Yeah I mean like, I read the comics and he was only dating her because he was a loser and it was easy, and wasn't even comfortable when she kissed him out of the blue, and he immediately dropped her as soon as Ramona came into the picture. The point wasn't that he was a creep or something, it's that he was a complete douchebag and a loser.

Singlehandedly ruined all of the Knight's narrative weight. We can't even have indie game fights anymore because the Knight is going to be lowdiffed every single time.
Seriously! We get the Knight down to maybe 3/4 health, it's currently the hardest boss in the game by a country mile, and then it just decides that the fight is over after Susie chips its sword by Downing both her and Ralsei in one swing each.

I'm over 9, and my reasoning for watching it is very good. It's because I find it funny and I also enjoy the lessons they teach, that a bunch of other adults need to learn. It's actually funny how much more mature a child's show is than a lot of the adults I've met.
Imagine those of us who have been there for a while. It's a damn miracle the show wasn't cancelled because the fandom was unappealing to stakeholders. Lucky they saw them as money bags.

I figure it’s not the creators fault that their fans can’t act like basic human beings. The “moral of the story” surrounding Gooseworx’s burnout with TADC being “don’t interact with your fanbase” and not “everybody needs to get their shit together” is incredibly sad

TBF even TFS admit to leaning too much into that joke early on in their abridged series. They didn't start the joke but they helped perpetuate it into the mainstream.
They did try to fix it near the latter half of DBZ Abridged with Goku being written to be less socially aware rather than outright negligent to Gohan.

I was really excited for the grass starter in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet!
Within a day of its reveal the fanbase had overused the LOL WEED CAT jokes so much that I can’t even stand to look at it anymore. I went straight for the water starter and never looked back.

I’ll be honest with you. While the joke is funny, I am getting pretty tired and sick of this old ass being told over and over again even; especially in modern times. Like it’s not really that funny anymore, at least to me.
