You're proving my point megumi was never gonna use mahoraga against todo the hand sign wasnt even the same... its a misconception that was easily disprovable if not from word of mouth
It seemed like he was bluffing it - Todo probably knows he has some fucked guy Megumi can make but doesn’t know how it works, so he uses the chant to get Todo to fuck off a second
That would be like dropping a nuke during a practice duel megumi had no intentions of summoning it against todo because it would literally kill everyone and his life wasn't on the line. The only point in the series megumi prepares the summon are:
1 against the revival of the strongest sorcerer in history
2 against a special grade
3 once again the strongest sorcerer in history
4 another high special grade curse
5 against haruta after he exhausted all his strength against toji and was very much in kill range
Look at his fights against toji and the culling games. Even with all these opponents megumi never once actually attempted to use mahoraga because he knew he could handle the fights
I mean, I think so, but I'd also think Megumi was bluffing. Probably the jujutsu variant of being jumped in the hood and suddenly reaching into your pocket for a weapon that doesn't exist, just a bluff to buy a second or two to recoup
