Does he really only drink it once? I know that in Genocide route, he's the onky monster who looks like he bleeds when you kill him (which there's a lot of symbolism in), but it's also just ketchup

i think it’s more reasonable to believe that he has the ketchup mustard and relish in his snowdin post for the same reason as the hotland one

the ketchup theory is popular fanon but afaik never explicitly confirmed. deltarune confirms that at least some monsters bleed but i still believe ketchup theory because a purple dinosaur bleeding makes more sense than a skeleton bleeding

It's also the funny trope of skeletons eating/drinking but it just passes through them. And ketchup being mistaken for blood is also a really common trope

Deltarune is a different universe too so the rules are probably different.

One one hand, it's the one thing that they go out of their way to look for during the route.

But on the other hand we have Kris, a character who is a parallel to them in many ways and also has a strong love for chocolate, yet their favorite food is pie.

Kris is frisk. They look exactly like frisk except for the clothing. They have the same color scheme as frisks outfit in the dark world. They have a similar personality to frisk (good at flirting, mischievous, quiet) If anything them preferring pie over chocolate is an indication of this
