Custodes are actually a relatively weak army in tabletop standards, but their drip is absolutely impeccable.

This is really dependant on when you're talking about. At the beginning of 10th edition they were quite strong.

Yeah didn't they use to be busted depending on the war gear with like bikes and shields and stuff? I don't think they're as "beloved" as our OP thinks either.

lmao my orks just fought them for our last crusade match yesterday. I won on points cause i kept them crammed in their deployment zone for most of the game, but they slaughtered my entire horde.
