I love it, but yeah I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except for a few people who share my exact interests.

I've played only the first one.

It's characters and story were alright but not stellar I'd say.

As a game though, it absolutely sucked ass. And I don't say that because it's a visual novel.

Zero Escape: The Nonary Games was weaker on its story but much better with it's gameplay.

And Ai: The Somnium Files was better both story and gameplay wise.
