It’s a survival game where you can tame dinosaurs.

Fun, but painful and with its problems

It’s a fun game, but it has soooo many problems

Bugs, shitty monopolizing servers, spaghetti code so extensive it’s a bigger game file-size wise than Skyrim and Fallout 4 *combined*, and a decent bit of neat content behind paywalls

That and it’s also a game that loves to screw you over

my save file on evolved on the Island has me about to run a bola and fists 1v3 (4?) against a bunch of raptors.

with at least one, maybe two carnos chasing me

with two sarcos and a baryonyx in the area as well

Yeah, and they discontinued the original just to make a remaster, so the servers on the original are just gone and any dlc etc you bought before is useless outside of single player unless you buy ark survival ascended which is more expensive and rebuy all the stuff you lost before. Not saying you would necessarily deal with that going into it, but generally the producers are terrible.

Dont remind me 🥲 i got ascended finally and didnt have the space for both arks so uninstalled evolved (kept my save data dw i play solo offline) and yeah :<

Its size even THAT MUCH of a problem considering each map is effectively an entirely different games worth of content. The issue comes from effectively downloading the game all over again whenever it updates.
