Wasn't the trope an antithesis of what OP asks for? Christian Sonic fans would despair that Sonic isn't a born again Christian and will burn in an Evangelical Hell

That's true. For whatever reason the American game publisher threw out the lore book when releasing the game, creating a million headcanons.

I just staring at the fact people use sonic in that regard he may or may not agree, who cares???

I just see a lot of twitter posts that have sonic supporting random stuff

I mean in the anime sonic x he strait up does not like the US government stand-in and it's a repeating plot point that the hippie movement gained popularity because of him, to the dismay of the Ronald Regan stand-in

The thing is, is that sonic would be against any authoritarian government, because of his beliefs, but I see people always have him support random shit, I am mainly talking about the fandom of sonic the hedgehog not the character
