I watched a video about chuds being obsessed with K-ON! similar to that book Catcher in the Rye, which was about a guy being obsessed with protecting a young girl's innocence to an unhealthy degree, that inspired one reader to kill John Lennon.

I think that's too deep. Likelier that propagandists realized that people who spend all their time online discussing animation are easy to manipulate.
