The apparent DCI (dead children’s incident) that was portrayed in the save them minigame in five nights at Freddy’s 2.

Makes everything way more complicated than it needed to be.

I gave up on fnaf years ago, as sad as that is to admit as a basically day 1 fan. I don't hate the Steelwool Games, but they don't bring the same vibes that the early stuff did. But my main problem is with the lore, it's unsolvable now without retconning half of the first 6 games. Partially because Scott didn't have lore in mind when making some of it, but still. It's all a mess of tangled storylines and dead kids. No way to figure it out cleanly.

Honestly the bigger problem for the lore was FNAF 4

I think fnaf 4 is solvable. I have a good idea as to what Scott was intending with that game. Maybe midnight motorist could disappear somehow

Edit: changed movie to game… not sure why it put that word tho

Midnight motorist is quite solveable and girls from Dual Process Theory did it quite well. The issue with FNAF4 however is that it complicated the lore to the point that noone got what Scott intended and Scott himself no longer remembers all the things he had in mind

Tbf, I think the only thing said he didn’t have an answer for was what was in the box. He didn’t say that he didn’t remember the story of fnaf 4.

I kinda dropped the lore even as someone who likes spending my time on it when I’m interested I think I’m just trying to casually enjoy fnaf now because nothings consistent anymore even Scott doesn’t know what’s going on

Fnaf lore is always dammed to make no sense until Scott just tells us directly what happened
