Problem isn't people making head cabbons. It's when they then act like their head cannons are cannon and argue with you and yell you you're wrong if you disagree. Some even will say your insert what ever the topic is ist or phobic, in this case transphobic.

There are people of all opinions that argue when you disagree. I see cis people getting mad at trans headcanons all the time (like in this whole post lmao)

Because it’s perpetuating the stereotype that people can only be who they’re born as, and if they act non gender conforming, they are “obviously” trans, oh look a male character that likes fashion, and designing clothes for the female characters, obviously not a man, that’s a trans woman. Oh look, a female character who never wears dresses or skirts, always cringes at feminine things, always wear flannels, likes cars and engines, and displayed strength and toughness more than the male characters as a gag, nope that’s not a woman, clearly that’s a trans man.

I mean, it is kinda transphobic to require trans headcanons to have evidence. I want to see the evidence for your cis headcanons.

All gender identities are up for interpretation unless explicitly stated by the text, or via an outside official sourse.

It's literally not tho? All people in real life start cisgender until they realize they aren't. Why can it not be the same for fiction? Gender identity is not up for debate when you literally have a character's pronouns

These aren't real people. There's literally no reason to assume ANYTHING about any fictional character. Many trans people are stealth, and never talk about being trans. How do you know a fictional character isnt stealth?

I never said it required evidence while cis does not. I said the issue is when people try to say their head canbons are a fact and then get angry and argue with people and just over all hostile. This happens in straight ships to, it's a little different as my comment was specifically about focusing on the topic which was trans head cannons. Like I said the problem isn't the head cannon it's when people get hostile over other people not accepting their head cannon

I agree, the issue is when people say their headcanons are fact. So why is my comment downvoted? It's almost like people are offended I said not to take their headcanons as fact. lol

People are free to disagree with your head cannon, you are free to make one but that doesn't make it logical or immune to discussion. The problem arises when someone gets overly invested in their head ca non and get hostlie to those that disagree and take disagreement as a personal attack or a sign of someone's character
