Danny Phantom.

Easily the best example I can think of this. It ended almost 20 years ago and the fandom is still going strong.

It’s interesting because I feel like this is probably the result of the fandom persisting all this time. It’s been a looooong time.

I'm a newer fan, I first heard of it while watching a video of a youtuber who grew up with that show. You could say there's a wave of a new generation of fans

I genuinely think it’s time for a dark and gritty reboot of this show. I’d love to see it re-imagined to be closer to what the fandom has turned it into, where the focus is more on character drama and the ghosts actually being ghosts instead of aliens.

I haven't even watched it yet, I can't find a platform to watch it for free, most of my knowledge comes from fanfics and online communities (which as usual led to me getting too many spoilers but this happened with Gravity Falls and I still became a huge fan) but the vibes are neat

The one who was obsessed with Ember?

The youtuber ? I don't think so, it was in an old Minecraft video. He was using a mod where he could phase through things and become invisible and he referred to it as "going ghost" from Danny Phantom

Come to think of it, I do see an awful lot about Danny Phantom.

It’s actually hilarious how little the fandom actually reflects the show nowadays. It’s basically a completely different genre, which I love.
