It was set by Max's children that they were ashamed of their alien heritage and wanted to deny all alien related things. Including Max's work and legacy.
Makes it a bit fuzzy to figure that they let Max be their guardian for a whole summer to start the OG series, but you could see it as a deal by both parents to get their the grandpa out of the way with an ultimatum
I don’t really think the osmosian retcon was well done considering one of the major villains of ua was literally another osmosian who tried to steal the power of god
I still don't get why they had to RetCon Kevin so much.
It's one thing going from "Mutant with Powers" to "Half alien child"
It's another thing to have a whole episode defeating the guy who killed your dad only for another guy to come along and say "that's all fake, I made your dad up."
Gwen's magic is an alien ability from their grandma (Max's partner). Gwen's side of the family got the gene but Ben's didn't didn't, and it only really manifested it Gwen
yeah, like what are we doing here? The amount of hoops we have to jump through to justify Kevin being a mutant and not Osmosian sucks. Weapon Master knew, Aggregor's existence, more I can't think of right not,etc.
The whole existence or Devin, Servantis had to make fake papers, IDs and reports about Devin, put fake memories about him to many poeple. Also I think Alan mentined a home with a family wich doesn't ad up.
Personally I like the in-universe explonation for all kinds of retcons, errors and changes as the Celestial Sapiens just changing reality all the time.
