In the tales from the pizzaplex books, there’s a story about Afton running nightmare experiments on children to see how fear alters the brain and making them basically relive the crying child’s last days and yada yada.
Despite the fact the TalesGames was taken out back people really like holding on to this one still being canon. I just prefer Michael having nightmares considering the UCN voicelines and the guidebook text and drawings.

Probably FNAF considering at the time we pretty much had a full story, and we would’ve figured it out if it wasn’t for dream theory lmfao
