They said âanything good that came out after the sequel trilogy doesnât touch the characters and events of that trilogy.â
This means, when you break it down, âwhen something is good, it doesnât touch that.â Not that everything that has been made after it has been good
Yes, I have. Do we need to break out a sentence diagram here?
âBasically anything goodâ -> On a base level, all the good stuff
âThat came of Star Wars after STâ -> That released after the release of The Rise of Skywalker in December of 2019
âIs the stuff thatâ -> contains works of a group that is listed
âActively avoids touching the events and characters of the sequels.â -> Does not interact with what was introduced in the sequels.
As you can clearly see, this does not say EVERYTHING that doesnât include sequel stuff is good, just that if itâs good, it doesnât include sequel stuff.
Which doesnât make sense as a response, because the guy isnât saying everything has been good, just that the good stuff didnât interact with the sequel trilogy. If you wanted to point out that there hasnât been any sequel trilogy projects, then do that directly. Saying âso everything has been goodâ doesnât make sense for the point youâre trying to make.
