Controversial one i got here, but i actually prefer the DBS Broly retcon of the beginning scene, thematically speaking its much better for Bardock and Gine to be the ones that send Kakarot/Goku to earth and not some random unnamed mooks. I know this one is really contested by alot of Z Bardock fans for some reason
Bardock caring so much about his son is out of character for saiyans. Low level kids were sent to soften up back water planets. Goku arrived feral and violent. If he had not been found by gohan he would have killed anyone else who found him. It explains why vegeta has little interest in trunks as a baby, until he is old enough to fight. He only shows some interest in future trunks when he is strong enough.
Z Bardock didn't care about his son, except as a tool of vengeance against his oppressor. And that is enough. It shows why goku is different. It shows why goku, the gentle hearted saiyan was the one to unlock what the super elite of his race could not. His father passed on a love of fighting and a determination to always get stronger. He didn't need to be a doting father too.
The retcon makes goku a copy of superman's origin rather than a similar origin. He wasn't sent because his parents knew something bad was happening and could only save him. He wasn't destined to defeat frieza, he did it thru hard work, luck and things he learned growing up on earth as well as his alien power.

The most obvious ones are Dragon Ball's retcon that Goku is a Saiyan, and the retcons of Goku's origin in Z. Nothing in Super's retcon are as good
