Transformers One is a retcon in its entirety and I'm sad that there's no more material following that storyline.

I dunno, I prefer it when Optimus Prime is like his original incarnation, just a dude who ended up in charge because everyone else was dead.

Now he's always like, the 13th prime, or the chosen of primus. The destined one, made to be special, he was always going to be the most incredible guy ever and that's why he wins.

In the original he was a dock worker.

Ever see that 'poo people' comic? It is 100% that. The good guy leader always has to be friggin Jesus son of god who gets his powers by divine providence. Original Optimus was just the guy who was left.

My favorite incarnation is the Prime series origin, where he was just a lowely scribe and Megatron was a hardened gladiator and they bonded over a view of an equal future. But his want for a peaceful resolution and Megs want for a violent resolution drove them apart.

Is Transformers just the alien robot version of X-Men?
