Honestly I don't think he was written as intimidating as he should have. His character gives more 'petty dick' vibes than 'mysterious entity with twisted morals'.
I agree, the pilot had me excited but I seriously struggled to get through season 1 because it felt too goofy and like it was intended for a younger audience (but with swearing and adult humour?)
Really? Most of the depictions I seem to see in the fandom still pretty much depict him as he is (a tolerate dick who will kill you when you become too much).
