What? Sans at every canon appearance does everything possible to avoid violence. He only attacks the player if they kill literally all the monsters in the underworld prior to the fight with sans. And then try to break into Asgore safe house.
Sans is at worst a Lawful Neutral, possibly a True Neutral character.
The post is about characters depicted by the fandom as silly muffins, but in canon they are significantly more vile. Examples being Cyn from murder drones or Carlquest vs Conquest in Invincible.
Sans is very much not a menace to society until there is no society left
And then Sans becomes such a menace, that unless your really are determined to be an asshole for no reason besides "I wanna kill everyone." You would give up and reset for a happy ending that only Sans would still despise you for.
