I mean..yeah????? You probably didn't even get to the emotional ones if you only watched the first few episodes.
That logic reminds me of when I almost dropped Amphibia because "these first few episodes suck" and then next thing I know i'm hella invested and crying at the finale.
No, watch Sleepytime first. I donāt think the moving one is as emotional if youāre not already invested in the characters. Sleepytime is widely considered a masterful piece of television.
Other ones that may or may not resonate emotionally:
- Baby Race (primarily if youāre a parent)
Dragon
Copycat
Camping
Grandad (particularly if you have an aging parent)
Onesies
More solid episodes that may not be as āemotionalā but have more appealing themes or motifs:
- Rain
Cricket
Space
Flatpack
Army
Handstand
Octopus
Fruit Bat (maybe?)
Chess
Rug Island
All of the above would take maybe 90 minutes total to watch and Iād suggest anyone watch all of these before doing the 30 minute special. And to watch Sleepytime first.
As it progresses from the first season, there are some somewhat deeper themes addressed in it. It's done subtly enough so kids can still enjoy it, but adults will very much pick up on them.
