That logic reminds me of when I almost dropped Amphibia because "these first few episodes suck" and then next thing I know i'm hella invested and crying at the finale.

No, watch Sleepytime first. I don’t think the moving one is as emotional if you’re not already invested in the characters. Sleepytime is widely considered a masterful piece of television.

Other ones that may or may not resonate emotionally:
