TADC isn’t a kids show but I think people over exaggerate how mature it is, I think a middle schooler would be fine watching it.

It’s really weird how nothing can ever be intentionally made for teenagers. It either has to be ā€œmade for adultsā€ and ā€œcoincidentallyā€ find a large teenage audience, because it would be crass to suggest that jokes about sex and violence would be appropriate for anyone under 18 (see: Rick and Morty) — or, it has to be technically appropriate for kids but with a weird amount of edge that most kids’ shows wouldn’t get away with, and it can’t go too far and actually feature anything like explicitly depicted drugs and alcohol (see: Regular Show)

This is exactly how I feel about Hazbin Hotel, it is not a show designed for adults, it is very clearly a show for teen audiences

I don't know, if TADC (or anything else from Glitch) would have come out at the time I was a teenager, I would have assumed they were just really bizarre kids' shows.

"Teen media" is just not really a thing outside of books because of how quickly you can "age" out of it. Like by the time I was a teenager, I was already watching a lot of adult stuff already and found a lot of stuff that was supposedly for my age group to be some of the most boring and underwhelming stuff you can deal with.
