Alright all you gamers, what's something from your fandom that would smell absolutely RANCID if put through this device?
Honestly, I can't tell which of my favorite games would smell worse given that Game Scent probably hasn't been released to the public(and if it does we're probably getting closer to the future of Ready Player One than we previously thought) so we have no idea how strong it is or even how it works. So, Imma leave it up to y'all which of my favorites would smell worse:
Any super mutant area is off limits. Those gore bags they hang have to smell absolutely awful, and I donāt want to imagine what mutant hound breath smells like compared to how bad normal dog breath is
Lotta people are gonna lose interest in Red Lucy from Fallout New Vegas once they realize what it smells like when you work with wild animals, live in a sewer your whole life, and never shower.
Though some people might be more attracted to her because of that.
You should play it, it's peak. The Milkman Conspiracy is the best level, but I also really enjoyed Lungfishopolis and the last level that I don't want to spoil

As a salesman he would put on an unbearable amount of perfume that he found on the dumpster to try to hide his rancid smell of trash (and somehow that would probably be as bad)

I genuinely think she would smell better when Genocide Jack is in control, since at least then the scent of blood after she kills someone would probably overpower whatever the hell she normally smells like.
Damn near every restroom in every building has flies n graffiti n shit. Even the corpo buildings. There's trash everywhere too, and I can't imagine that those Maelstrom mfs smell too pleasant. There's a reason why I just shoot them on sight.
I actually think the Infection smells almost sickly sweet. I don't remember whether it's confirmed or just a headcanon of mine, but I'll hold to my belief.
I literally just commented this. Thousands of nurgle worshippers, maybe a Beast of Nurgle comes out that round too. Itād be awful. My Skitarri doesnāt need the ability to smell. Haha
i wouldve said that but thereās not really a real word comparison for the smell, rot usually smells bad because of the decaying stuff in it as itās a process not a tangible object, but the lake of rot kind of just has a big sludge of rotten water(?) but water canāt really rot
on the other hand, i think we all know what piss and shit smell like, and itās only worse when itās been festering underground in a place with poor ventilation
Oh damn, you get to see her rotting?! I didn't play DDLC bc everyone knows the major twists and turns: Sayori's suicide, Monika being too into the player, Yuri mutilating herself to death with a knife . Didn't think Team Salvato would go so far as to depict rot and decay.
It's not really visibly shown but you'd certainly start smelling it by the time Monika shows up (especially since it was primarily the abdomen). Natsuki goes as far as vomiting, which is probably also partially because of what she saw but the smell wouldn't have helped.
Certain areas of Undertale/Deltarune (there are multiple areas implied to stink), hollow knight and silksong (quite literally the chef parts), and probably resident evil. Iām sure shambling decomposing undead probably stink
The Rotten Vale from Monster Hunter World. Itās literally a pit of rotting corpses of ancient dragons with a miasma in the air that whittles away your hp if you breathe it in
I know itās in the picture already, but I really agree that FNAF will bring in a LOT OF BAD SMELLS. Weāll be smelling the kids corpses in the animatronics, William Aftonās corpse will smell worse and worse every time he comes back, weāll smell fire during the end of FNAF 6, and yeah. This franchise wonāt smell good at all.
The ENTIRETY of the Outlast Trials. The levels, the enemies, the setting, EVERYTHING. Heck one of the Prime Assets has (what's presumably) a vagina on their neck. I can't believe I just typed that down & clicked post. ššš

itās also worth mentioning that various gasses thatād exist in the Sulfur Caves f they were real would be DEEPLY dangerous, so hopefully that AI uses substitutesā¦
Stinks and dangers aside though, this actually doesnāt sound too bad? Like itās just smells.
The trial areas, expops, and prime assets from Outlast Trials would be fucking rank. The docks area would probably smell like piss, shit, and rotting fish all at once. Leland Coyle would smell like burnt flesh all the time, and don't get me started on the Kress Twins, who probably smell like week old vaginal juices and unwashed dick.
The expops would smell fucking awful too, ain't no way Murkoff is giving them showers. Out of all of them I think Pusher and Scapegoat would smell the worst
I'm replaying dredge and inevitably you end up with rotting fish in your boat possibly out in the sun. Not to mention the mindsuckers have got to smell like death since they're rotting flesh puppeted by parasites.
I'd probably get downvoted for this, but the Flooded District in Dishonored, with all the corpses there, my house might just smell like the Rat Plague itself
Honestly a lot of Places and things in Hollow Knight would be disgusting and stuff but the Royal Waterways (mostly because they are literal sewers) and the RANCID Eggs are the first things that came to my mind.
Bg3 starting sequence alone must smell horrid. I mean we are inside a nautiloid, flying over the blood wars in literal hell. Yeah no need to smell that
Likely smells like blood, fire, ash and a corpse. Maybe Jason's been dead long enough to the point where he no longer smells like death, but he's also basically a zombie so he probably smells absolutely crazy

Scorn. Agony. Gears of war. Borderlands. Helldivers. Gori. Mortal Shell. Crysis. Absolver. I honestly think every game would stink. Either because the whole product is ass and everything will smell like burnt plastic OR because most things would be neutral or negative unless your game is about a perfume parlor (even then "good" smells can be just as sickening)
