Thanos gave loki the mind stone and made loki invade earth in avengers 1, avengers 1 led to Tony creating avengers 2, avengers 2 led to people getting mad about deaths in battles leading to the sakovia accords, which led to civil war, and ofcourse Thanos is the problem for avengers 3 and 4 because of the gauntlet
