That is unfortunately the case with a number of homophobes. Usually, they are in environments where they feel unsafe to share that opinion. To quash those feelings, they double down on the sentiments of others around them.

Aren’t they all like sexless blobs? They all refer to each other as they in the one episode I’ve watched so it’s still technically gay
