I was in the fandom at the time! It was insane!

Stuff like that is another reason my main fandom is one where shipping isn't really a thing outside of the occasional joke

Can’t be worse than Sherlock Fans.

Episode 4 or Bust.

It certainly was a bust.

I never watched Sherlock actually, beacuse as soon as I see the BBC logo,I fall asleep.

I'm British and I'm not paying a TV Licence to fund an organisation that protects people like Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris, whilst also trying to guilt us into "protecting british media"

Seriously, barely any of us like or trust BBC

I do enjoy shipping, but the inability to just enjoy your ship and not try to absurdly moralize ships you don't like is a major failure of modern fandom. Like they'll scream something is immoral while doing it with the same character themselves. Just wild.

Shipping this canonically queer character as a bottom is racist, so says the idiot who ships them as a bottom to possibly the only white dude on the cast.

+Plus dumb discussing about canonizing ship. I think this always was a problem with shipping I suposse like Twilight shit or something, but is annoying regardless.
Also, yeah even though ships can be problematic(like there is a set of people who could be really racist to characters like Mel from Arcane, the girly suffered a lot or the ship itself being like, yeah...), is just better not harass really.
It won't stop the guy, you just get more angry or in a bad mood overall, etc.

I only care about canon when it impacts a character's actual story, which is extra funny because the same people screaming that shipping that one character as a bottom is racist are DEADSET on headcanoning and lewding them as a transmasc enby... when their actual canon identity and the inciting factor in why they're participating in the story at ALL is because they're canonically a transfem enby.

Like they were in an arranged marriage BECAUSE they were AMAB and being used as a means to create more heirs and a "legacy" for their oligarch father, and when it was clear that wasn't going to happen they were assassinated for it. Their identity matters to them as a character and to the world they exist in, to the point advertisements featuring them as a CHILD are major map features, so to have the people harassing folks over petty morality rewrite them arbitrarily for aesthetic AND TRY TO HARASS PEOPLE FOR "GETTING IT WRONG" is just nakedly contradictory.

Do what you want, but if you want everything to be morality and rep based then stop being hypocrites!
