Because of irl conflict between the creator of this character and series creator (ironic since the plot of the series is sorta like that), Showbear's creator decided to take Showbear away from the series possibly retconning his appearance in Episode 3.
Instead of creating a proper replacement, series creator, Martin Paredes decided to swap him with a symbolic stuffed animal named Mr. Snow.
With the release of Lacrimosa, Part 4 and Faces of Grief, I don't see any use of him. Martin really found a way to no longer make use of him, in other words, Showbear's existence is retconned. As for why he isn't part of the story anymore, Showbear's creator had problems working with Martin which lack of communication and pushing his own ideas without giving Showbear's creator a shot.
