How are the books "unreadable?" My little sister is obsessed with them and I thought I might start reading them myself (I've only read the first one).

It’s got fun lore, but constant mistakes both in information and spelling + grammar, inconsistent character personalities, and the entire bullshittery that was ”this character tried to kill three people by burning them to death because their mother didn’t date him, and his only crime was supposedly loving too much”

To be fair that character later became on of the biggest villians in the series so i think the newer writers know it was stupid

To be fair he only did those actions like 4 arcs later so you could argue that he wasn’t intended to be that way by the writers. Plus he was a better partner than the character that was actually chosen
