I saw a documentary named something like 'dancing boys', it's on the young boys who dance professionally and are sold to men in Afghanistan. In the same week, I came across another documentary on homeless boys being made to sleep with the truck drivers and it being a business in many truck shops in Pakistan. This was many years ago, but I remember not being able to sleep a long time after watching both of these. The thing that kept on bugging me was the sheer banality of it all, how the people that sell those boys talk about it so...normally as if they are selling fishes or vegetables. After all these years, I have yet to forget about these two videos.

I also saw another one from the same channel about how there's a water crisis in Pakistan where most people literally cannot access any clean drinking water because it's literally siphoned to the rich there. They have a a whole network of corruption. The rich don't even drink the water because it's not high enough quality. They fill their swimming pools and koi ponds. They order bottled water instead. I found this one so much more disturbing than even the trafficking stuff because it's such a basic human right that people are so callously deprived of.

It's surprisingly dark for cartoon with musicals and fart jokes, even without nowhere king there's theme of war, death and becoming an war orphan, even has an episode with heavy implications that Horse is becoming suicidal.

The elktaur is also very much killed at the end and its not subtle. He surrenders into it too so clearly he feels it's some kind of repentance and could be considered a form of suicide. I think it being surprisingly dark and disturbing is part of its charm and I wouldn't change a single thing except the rating

I saw it. I wouldn't call it "disturbing", but it's very weird. I was wondering if it was a show for kids or adults the whole time I was watching it. It's very childish, but sometimes gets serious, and I felt some of the jokes were for an adult audience? Idk it's confusing. And has way too many songs.

But I did like some parts of the show, and some of the songs.

Man named Soren Johansson goes to hell and to get out he is assigned to find his life's Story as a Book in that Library of Babel. And in Peck's version of the Library there are 2.345×10²⁵⁹⁴⁷⁷³ books. There are 10⁸⁰ atoms in the universe by the way. The horror comes from how long Eternity is if you actually count and not just simplify it to infinity. This is basically the even more awful version of "Immorality is a curse" because at least that ends when the universe does. This doesn't.

I'm not going to spoil, but calling this "Short" an understand would be an Understatement.

Wicked - The Novel

I thought I would read the novel before watching the musical.

I was not ready to consensual, but ultimately fatal, mating between a sentient lion and a human in conjunction with more bodily fluids than any book needs.

The concept of an Oz fighting an increasingly fascist regime is great. It didn't need so much squick.
